If you are having trouble picking just one type of gift to give this holiday season, why not put together a gift basket? For someone who needs a little pampering, a spa gift basket would be a thoughtful gift.
Over the years this has been one of my go-to gifts. I have made numerous baskets for family and friends and they are always a big hit! But gifting a spa gift basket show you are truly paying attention to the receiver and their needs. Gift baskets also allows you a lot of creativity and individuality with each creation.
Decide on The Theme for the Basket
While making a spa gift basket on its own is a theme, there are many other directions you can take. If it is a holiday gift, you might want to have all Christmas or winter-themed items, like peppermint salt scrubs and vanilla spiced candles.
You can go the traditional direction with basic spa and pampering items like bath salts and bath bombs, or include more items for beauty like face masks and body scrubs. There are so many ways to incorporate your own personal touch with a spa gift basket.
Include Your Essential Oils
If you are making a spa gift basket, you probably want aromatherapy to be a major component. For aromatherapy, you should have pure essential oils that the recipient can use for various purposes, and really benefit from them on an emotional and physical level. There are many options, from selecting just a couple popular scents like vanilla and lavender, to going with more seasonal scents like nutmeg, cinnamon, and fir, or choosing blends that encompass both.
Add in The Other Items
There are plenty of other items you can include in a spa-themed gift basket for the holidays. This will depend on the overall theme, such as if you are going with traditional scents or the seasonal scents.
If you are using essential oils in the basket, you might want to add in some carrier oils such as coconut oil or jojoba oil. If the basket is for a luxurious bath, include some bath items like a bath pillow, bath salts, sponge or loofah, and some different types of soap or body wash.
You might want to add a few candles and some bubble bath. For a larger spa gift basket, consider getting a small essential oil diffuser that they can use in the bathroom on the counter while taking their bath.
Packaging Your Basket
Themed gifts have traditionally been assembled in a basket and wrapped in cellophane, which is always a classic way to go. However, consider thinking outside the box, or in this case, boxing your gift. There are beautiful gift boxes that range in size and shape that work well for packaging multi-gifts. This might be a great alternative depending on the size and shape of the items chosen.
Whatever method of packaging you choose, your gift recipient is sure to be appreciative of the time and effort you took to select the perfect items for the basket (or box) of gifts.
And don’t forget the truly perfect addition, some favorite candy, cookies, and sweet treats to enjoy while they pamper themselves. Because if you want to offer a totally unique spa gift basket, then you absolutely must add in some sweets!
Enjoy creating your spa gift baskets my friend.
In His Grace,
Callie
